A trial edit will help you determine whether you’ve found an editor you can trust and who understands your writing. The relationship between an author and an editor is a special one, and is something we take very seriously. A trial edit is a great way for you to see the level of editing and type of feedback you can expect from your editor.
Your trial edit includes:
- A read-through of a 3,000 word sample
- A line edit and structural edit
- A one-page editor’s report
- A 20 minute consultation with your editor
The turnaround time is usually a week (depending on your editor’s schedule).
If you decide to go ahead with a comprehensive edit after having a trial edit, the trial edit fee will be discounted from the fee for your comprehensive edit.
