Microsoft Word is a word processor that’s been around since 1983, and Microsoft are likely to keep releasing new iterations as long as they’re interested in computers. It’s ubiquitous, compatible with pretty much everything, and, when used for basic tasks, simple to operate.
Don’t get stuck trying to conform your writing to every piece of advice you hear, even if it comes from an impressive source. Assess your work for problem areas, seek out potential solutions, find the one that works, and repeat.
